Enthesitis

Tendons and ligaments meet at a bone to form an enthesis. Enthesitis is the inflammation of the entheses. The inflammation in the entheses can be caused by an injury, overuse, or a disease. It is commonly associated with arthritis and spondylitis

Bursitis

Bursae are fluid-filled sacs present all over the body. They prevent rubbing and friction of the bone with muscles and tendons. Inflammation or irritation of a bursa sac is called Bursitis. It commonly occurs around major joints in the body like the shoulder, elbow, hip, or knee.

Muscle Trigger Points

Muscle trigger points are sensitive points in the muscles that cause pain with the slightest pressure. The pain sometimes appears in seemingly unrelated parts of the body. The pain typically appears after a muscle has been contracted repetitively. Stress-related muscle tension or repetitive motions could cause this condition.

Tender Points

Tender points are specific areas of pain that are located near the joints but not at them. They hurt when you apply pressure on them. Even the slightest pressure like a poke can also cause pain. These tender points are located in certain specific areas of the body like the Lower neck, edge of the upper breast, near the elbow, knee base of the skull, upper outer buttock, hip bone, back of the shoulders, and back of the neck.

Tender Point Injections

Trigger point injection (TPI) is a procedure used in the treatment of muscles that contain painful trigger points or knots formed when the muscles are not relaxed. In this procedure, a needle is inserted into the patient's trigger point and a small dose of a mixture of anaesthetic and steroid is injected. This makes the trigger point inactive and alleviates the pain. Most of the time, a brief course of treatment results in sustained relief.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is an effective treatment for patients suffering from certain musculoskeletal conditions. In this procedure, a thin monofilament needle is inserted into the trigger points through the skin. It reduces pain, inactivates the trigger points, and restores muscle function. It is used as a part of a broader treatment incorporating traditional physical therapy interventions.

Prolotherapy

Prolotherapy is a treatment with injections that are used to relieve pain. A small amount of C-reactive protein (CRP) or Ozone is injected into the problem area. This helps to jumpstart the body's natural healing abilities. This method of treatment is used to treat patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
